Organisation
An elected volunteer executive group, known as the Board of Management, controls the operations of the association. The Board oversees the various activities of the association by appointing volunteer conveners or co-ordinators, each of whom takes responsibility for a designated activity, often with the assistance of a committee (e.g. Research Committee, Support Group Coordinator).
The association currently employs six staff: two Parkinson's Nurse Specialists (PNS), a fulltime Manager, a part-time Administration Assistant, a Medical Clerical Assistant and a Bookkeeper. Regular volunteers also attend the office daily to assist with clerical tasks.
