National Carers Week 17-23 October 2010
Carers Week is a time to celebrate and acknowledge the vital role carers play in our society.
cross Australia carers are providing unpaid care and support for a family member of friend with a disability, mental illness or disorder, chronic condition, terminal illness or who is frail.
Carers Week promotes and raised awareness of the valuable role that carers play in our community. It provides an opportunity to come together, support one another and share ideas and information.

Take a Break, go on a Carer's Short Break
The next Carer's Short Break will take place from 12 -15 October 2010 in Mandurah.
This is a great opportunity to take a well earned holiday from your important role in caring for a loved one with Parkinson's
This expenses paid break will give you time to treat yourself, to relax at the hotel, to sit at a coffee shop and read a book, to go for a walk, to eat out at a restaurant and to make some new friends who understand the sometimes difficult job of being a family carer.
