Whether you have been recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s or have been living with the condition for years, there is much to be gained in talking to our professional Parkinson’s WA Counsellor.
The Counsellor offers a confidential and supportive space to talk things through and uses evidence-based assessments and treatments.
The Counsellor can assist in a range of issues including:
Information and support around coping with a Parkinson’s diagnosis, coping strategies to manage the emotional and cognitive impacts of Parkinson’s, changes in mood, thinking and adjusting to physical impacts, disclosing your Parkinson’s to others and responding to others’ reactions, changes in work roles, employment and vocations, changes in roles, relationships and family dynamics, treating depression and anxiety, managing cognitive changes such as memory, processing, attention, maintaining your sense of self and identity, self-management and achieving your goals.
